No golden eggs here, so let's kill the geese

Dear Editor: Canada geese are an ever-growing problem, both here and in the U.K. and doubtless elsewhere. But the U.K. appears to have solved the problem by allowing them to be culled and eaten.

Canada geese are an ever-growing problem, both here and in the U.K. and doubtless elsewhere. But the U.K. appears to have solved the problem by allowing them to be culled and eaten.

I have often wondered, as I step around their disgusting mess in our popular Seawalk area, why we cannot to the same thing here and feed them to the poor, hungry or homeless.

I see no difference in killing these geese as we do other wildfowl and animals for food. So why not Canada geese?
