Dear Editor:
Regarding the Marine Drive corridor planning: The flaws in too much floor space, mayor and councillors, is obviously a flaw in the way bylaws are written — too open to interpretation and too lax to be enforced on the intended limits. Notice how the ground floor retail is remaining mostly unused/unleased? Landscaping is allowed to be potted plants and no substantial trees are provided to complement the North Shore character. Marine Drive is turned into a concrete drivethrough canyon rather than pedestrian oriented.
