Lynn Valley's road system and transit is already inadequate

Dear Editor: The "proposed" redevelopment of Lynn Valley is not in alignment with the Regional Growth Strategy - which we are not required to follow, in any case - to encourage density along major transit lines.

Dear Editor:

The "proposed" redevelopment of Lynn Valley is not in alignment with the Regional Growth Strategy - which we are not required to follow, in any case - to encourage density along major transit lines.

Lynn Valley is not on a major traffic corridor - quite the opposite. There is no transit service on Sundays after 6: 30 p.m. Nobody drives through Lynn Valley by car unless they want this to be their destination.

Developing this area to the extent Bosa and Safeway are proposing is not in keeping with what we Lynn Valleyites hold so dear. We want to keep the character of our community. We are the voters and the citizens who live here now and our voices need to be heard.

The people of Lynn Valley do not want highrises and we do not want thousands more people coming in and out of our community on an already congested road system with inadequate public transportation.
