Dear Editor:

RE: District of North Van May Expedite Seniors Care and Worker Housing for Lynn Valley Legion Site, and Editorial: North Van Legion Debate Shows Flaws in Our Process

I find myself hoping against hope that the people of Lynn Valley will open their hearts and minds. The decision must be made for what is best for the community as a whole.

A petition of two thousand people circulated in opposition of a previous development suggested for the site does not represent the whole community, or the whole district.

The seniors and their care givers are a vital part of our community.

As the article points out, this valuable peace of land is not being used to its highest and best use.

What better use of this site than for our seniors and their care givers, plus child care space, all of which are desperately needed?

We are in a crisis. We need to act accordingly, and think and act outside of the box.
