Dear Editor:

Why hasn’t West Vancouver’s mayor and council asked one simple question in its so-called multiple choice online “public consultation”?

“Do you support and want the B-Line?”

Nowhere in the online multiple choice “public consultation” questionnaire does the district ask this simple question.

My answer is no, for all the obvious reasons: more traffic congestion, more noise, more pollution, and more intrusion on the relatively quiet and peaceful environment of West Vancouver.

The district says that “many” West Vancouver residents support the B-Line, but doesn’t say “the majority of” West Vancouver residents support the B-Line. Why? Because the majority of West Vancouver residents do not support it, especially the residents of Ambleside and Dundarave who will be the only ones negatively affected by it. The majority of West Vancouver residents – especially potentially affected residents of Ambleside and Dundarave – do not want a B-Line. Period.

When is West Vancouver’s mayor and council going to stand up for the residents of Dundarave and Ambleside?
