Dear editor:

Re: While The Earth Burns, We Complain About Gas Tax, April 26 opinion column.

I second Paul Sullivan's motion. In the public realm, from exalted premier to lowly pundit, it seems fine to complain (i.e., be a child) but not to take responsibility (i.e., be an adult).

Where have all the adults gone? Not so long ago it was the unquestioned goal of every parent to make life better for her children.

Now the children are asking, rightly, do we even care about their future?

What a beautiful and powerful moment it would be if Alberta Premier Jason Kenney made good on his threat, and gas in B.C. hit $2 a litre, and the people of B.C. smiled and said "thank you."

For now, I say "thank you" to Paul Sullivan!
