Dear Editor:
Re: Inter River Trees Triumph, Turf Tossed, April 25 front-page story.
The people who want to preserve trees in the middle of a large urban area at the expense of an artificial turf soccer field are dead wrong. They bring their children out to protest when they should be telling them there are trees everywhere and a few fewer trees in our area will not make any difference. If they want trees, face north and walk a mile and there will be trees everywhere.
These gutless politicians who are afraid to speak the truth are ruining our metro area. They tell lies to appease the green lobbyists and then they turn around and raise their own salaries.
