Passersby, first responders and Lions Gate Hospital staff went above and beyond to help a man following a fall, writes his wife in a letter to the editor.

Dear Editor:

A huge thank you to everyone who helped my husband when he had a nasty fall at Argyle Avenue and 14th Street. From passersby who stopped to help, call me and 911, to the fire and ambulance first responders to the emergency department at Lions Gate Hospital, especially his nurse, you were all wonderful.

It was a bad fall and he’s still not sure what happened, but it could have been an awful lot worse as he didn’t break anything nor did he get a concussion. But the cuts and grazes will take a while to heal.

Again, a heartfelt thank you from both of us.
