Letter: Thank-you to this community for lifting me up when I was down

Dear Editor:

Last Friday (May 14) I went flying on Lonsdale at Second, a result of marble-shaped pebbles that had fallen out of a city planter.

Before I could recover my dignity, there were Victoria and son Finley, Caitlin and son Camden, and Phillip offering help.

Many thanks for staying with me, you wonderful people. Caitlin tidied up the pebbles and the ladies escorted me home.

What a wonderful community that has such unreservedly kind people in it!

Dear Editor:

I would like to thank all the people who stopped to help me when I fell off my mobility scooter outside Home Depot at Park Royal.

I could not get up and a strong man from Home Depot helped me up and back onto my scooter.

Also, thanks so much to the Home Depot personnel who looked after me and bandaged my arm, finger and knee.

I am very appreciative.
