Dear Editor:
We are in a long election process and it has given me time to think about the fact that our MPs want us to pay them $150,000 minimum per year to vote according to their leader’s wishes.
It should be mandatory for candidates to appear at all-candidates meetings so that we can get something other than talking points once every four years. I don’t want to hear a prepared speech. I want to hear a discussion about issues that matter to Canadians.
I think we should get a bit of a test drive before we send our representative to Ottawa.
