Re: Mountain United Chasing National Title, Sept. 27 sports story.
Thank you, Andy Prest and photographer Cindy Goodman, for the grand article and photos on Mountain United FC’s U15 boys team and the five North Shore players. I want to take a moment to acknowledge three historic soccer clubs of three North Shore players (who are also proud North Vancouver Football Club alumni 2010-2014) Michael O’Flynn (Mount Seymour), Lucas Booth (Lynn Valley) and Matthew Harland (Lions Gate). These players started their soccer development with iconic North Vancouver soccer community clubs before the three clubs amalgamated to form NVFC in 2010.
It is important to remember the coaches, players, parents and officers from these not-so-long-ago soccer communities that played a role with soccer development for so many North Vancouver families over the years.
