LETTER: Respect bus riders

Dear Editor:

At a TransLink workshop held in the Pinnacle Hotel some four years ago I suggested that we should provide fully enclosed shelters at the Phibbs bus exchange to provide protection against the cold, wind, rain and snow.

It can be very stormy on the North Shore especially in winter as it sweeps down off the mountains. They should also include washrooms and coffee machines and ample seating.

The suggestion was enthusiastically supported by all present, including the transit staff. TransLink needs to treat bus passengers like normal civilized human beings.
