Good luck to the writer of John Lawson Park Toilets a Disgrace, July 31 Mailbox.
Three years ago I spent days taking photos (and) called the emergency number on the door when one (toilet) was overflowing. Took photos to municipal hall. The secretary of the parks department was appalled and sent them on to a “person in charge.” I told her I had waited two hours the night of overflow. Nada.
I’m not a mom but when a five-year-old told her mom it was too dirty to pee, I decided to do all this on behalf of the kids. I have lived here since I was in my 20s. I am 70.
Same old rusty mirror. Same filthy diaper changer and not painted since.
