Re: $4.7M for New Gallery and Museum, Aug. 2 front-page story.
I was appalled at seeing the photo of the proposed Polygon Gallery slated for the foot of Lonsdale.
The building has no sense of place or function. Drafting board architecture. Equally at home on the moon, or Antarctica. But not North Vancouver. I thought the Bauhaus was dead.
Apparently not. It keeps raising its sterile head. The Patkau firm produces a lot of innovative architecture.
Not so here.
