Dear Editor:
Does anyone else find it ironic that the District of North Vancouver is spending thousands of dollars buying and distributing new plastic garbage cans and claiming the decisions are “green”?! They are replacing perfectly adequate plastic with new plastic. We can’t use our old plastic garden waste bins – only their new plastic bins. Reduce, reuse, recycle, but not if you are making decisions in the District of North Vancouver!
We are now ridiculously restricted with that garden waste ... what happens to the homeowner now? Oh yes, now that we are more “green” I can drive my garden trimmings myself in my compact car to the recycling centre for a fee.
My taxes are not being reduced, just my services.
