Dear Editor:

My husband and I and our two grandchildren were four of the many who turned out last night (Dec. 1) for the Christmas lighting of Mollie Nye House and the lovely Christmas celebrations inside afterwards.

Mollie Nye was my neighbour and my friend, and she would have been so happy to see her home used in such a lovely way.

You (the North Shore News, as media sponsor) and the organizers of this event must’ve been delighted with the turnout on such a cold, rainy night. It was so well organized with so much for the children to do. The seasonal food and drinks provided upstairs were excellent, and the downstairs had perfect activities: a live carol sing, gingerbread cookie decorating, photo booth with festive head gear provided, and upstairs was a Christmas decoration table for the children.

Please pass on our compliments to Mollie Nye House staff and volunteers. We hope it will continue to be an annual one because it was excellent.
