LETTER: Lynn Valley Centre tribute to Lynn Canyon a welcome respite

Dear Editor: Now we are ending what I call the season of the Big C and the C is not referring to Christmas but rather consumerism and commercialism. It is actually looking more like the season of the “ugly sweater” personalities.

Dear Editor:

Now we are ending what I call the season of the Big C and the C is not referring to Christmas but rather consumerism and commercialism. It is actually looking more like the season of the “ugly sweater” personalities.

How refreshing it was to go to Lynn Valley Centre and see the amazingly beautiful tribute to Lynn Canyon. Everywhere you looked there was a piece of nature right up to the Santa’s grotto, which was surrounded by trees with little stuffed black bears on the roof and a waterfall display.

It felt so peaceful walking around examples of the magic of woodlands and waterfalls, and it gave such a wonderful message to children that perhaps nature was as important as the presents they are asking Santa for.

Thank you to the management of Lynn Valley Centre for providing such a positive feeling to shoppers – I bet everyone enjoyed shopping there because of the uplifting feelings it provided.
