Dear Editor:
For the first time in years, the large fir tree at the entrance to Ambleside village was lit for the holidays. What a wonderful gift to all of us who missed its welcoming lights. My heartfelt thanks to all who made it possible.

Editor’s note: Decorating the Ambleside tree was an initiative of the newly formed Ambleside and Dundarave Business Improvement Association, in collaboration with District of West Vancouver staff from engineering and transportation, special events, economic development and the parks departments, according to District of West Vancouver spokeswoman Donna Powers.
