Dear Editor:
Most of the time when we read a newspaper we read about crime, corruption, theft, war, etc. All bad news. I remember one day when I came into a store that sold local and international newspapers. I was perusing the newspaper section when a clerk politely asked, and I quote, “Can I be of help?” and I replied: “I am looking for a paper with good news.” His answer was: “I am sorry but we don’t carry any.”
Since recently I had a very good experience, I thought I should write this letter regarding a superb service provided by Lions Gate Hospital.
Last week when I woke up I was feeling badly and my wife called 9-1-1. Within a few minutes an ambulance arrived and I was taken to the emergency room. Immediately a doctor came to see me. A few very polite and efficient nurses gave me their full attention.
During two days whenever I needed something they dashed to attend me. I shall never forget them. Furthermore, on the third day I was moved to the fourth floor where the nurses also took good care of me. Even being a holiday, two doctors who had also seen me in emergency, went to see me at the fourth floor. They took care of me in a professional and human way. Whoever complains about our medical services should read this. They don’t know what they are talking about.
