LETTER: It's time for all parents and students to make their voices heard

Dear Editor:

The labor dispute between the teachers and the provincial government has really hit the nerves of parents, students and schools across B.C. If the two sides fail to settle their dispute by Friday, the schools will be shut beyond Sept. 2 when students should be returning to theirclasses. If that happens, then it is time for parents and students to rise and take action - they cannot simply be silent spectators as their rights are trampled.

I would like to call upon all affected stakeholders to raise their voices now through the various media to put pressure on the conflicting parties with a clear message of some serious consequences of not resolving this prolonged conflict.
