Dear Editor:
Can someone explain to me how this is supposed to work? Several times I have had to give 5 cents because my bill came to something .02 or .01 or whatever. I handed over twelve dollars at one point when the bill was $12.02. The sales person said: "Do you have five cents?" That means I am out several cents per week for every time this happens.
Even although annually this would not be a huge amount of money, it does seem unfair that the customer, who is always supposed to be "right," has to take the loss, albeit a small loss.
