Dear Editor:
Re: Metro Sets Long-range Plan for Grouse Grind, BCMC, Nov. 7 news story.
I live in the neighbourhood described, near Baden Powell Trail. The trail running east/west adjoining the Grouse Grind is used by so many dog walkers that I can no longer use it. I used to enjoy a daily hike along the trail, but large groups of dogs (10 to 15) running freely is very intimidating and, at times, dangerous.
These are professional dog walkers. I appreciate they need to walk the dogs somewhere, but they don’t live in this area. I do, and pay taxes to do so. It should not be necessary for me to drive out of my neighbourhood to enjoy a walk.
