LETTER: Dismayed by Khadr deal

Dear Editor: I am an angry veteran dismayed by the announcement that the Liberal government is prepared to make a payment of several million dollars to a convicted terrorist.

Dear Editor:

I am an angry veteran dismayed by the announcement that the Liberal government is prepared to make a payment of several million dollars to a convicted terrorist.

Had he not been captured in July 2002 Omar Khadr would have continued to serve with the Taliban and may have killed a member of the Canadian Forces serving in Afghanistan.

I find it difficult to understand that the government is prepared to be significantly more generous to this man than to members of the Canadian Armed Forces who suffer life shattering injuries opposing terrorism as practiced by Khadhr and his ilk.
