Re: DNV Scraps Townhouses; Boffo Baffled, Dec. 14 news story.
I would suggest that Boffo sell more of Edgemont Walk before deciding to build more townhouses. By my last count, only nine (of 24) units have sold.
As for a place for a retiree to downsize, there are four levels in each townhouse – that’s a lot of stairs to navigate as one ages.
The prices are high. I can stay in my small pre-war bungalow and defer my taxes. The price of a modest Boffo home is just about what I could get for my home, which, by the way, is all on one level, has no stairs and a yard for my 50-pound dog. Why in the world would I move?
