LETTER: Canada Post delivers on mis-mailed money

Dear Editor: A few days ago, I had quite a few cards to mail. I also had an envelope, unmarked except for a first name, with some cash to pass on to a friend.

Dear Editor:

A few days ago, I had quite a few cards to mail. I also had an envelope, unmarked except for a first name, with some cash to pass on to a friend.

Unfortunately, all the envelopes got mixed together and went into a post box in West Vancouver for pickup the next morning.

I got hold of paper and pen, and wrote an explanatory note with my contact information and posted it in the same box. At 5:30 the following day, I had a phone call from Devinder Parmor, manager of plant operations at Canada Post’s main plant in Richmond, to say they had the envelope intact and would send it to my local postal substation in North Van. Three days after my careless mishap, I picked up my mis-sent money.

Thanks and praise for the thoughtfulness and efficiency of Canada Post.
