Re: WV Council Threatens to Raze Renegade House, June 23 front-page story.
Kudos to West Vancouver Mayor Michael Smith and council members for taking a stand.
These homeowners obviously thought they could just ignore bylaws and building codes.
Note to homeowners: these bylaws and codes are there for a reason, and for the safety of neighbours, and for future buyers of the property.
To blatantly ignore stop-work orders shows the owner’s complete arrogance and lack of respect. What if everyone did this?
It would be a travesty if they were allowed to get away with it.
