Dear Editor:
The stunning sunrise you wake up to inspires you to step outside your Dundarave home. Equipped with a steaming hot latte, you settle on a beach log to finish the last 50 pages of your latest gripping read. Longing to continue hearing the waves lapping against the shore, you begin walking along the seawall towards the library on a mission to return your book.
You run into a dear friend and reroute for a delightful breakfast at Cafe Crema. You’re running errands at Park Royal when another friend suggests meeting up for an afternoon movie at Park & Tilford. That leaves you both craving beer and burgers, which you enjoy on a patio at Tap & Barrel.
As the sun disappears over the horizon, you remember emptying the carton of milk this morning, prompting a pit stop at Save-On Foods. Next you zip over to the library to return that book you started the day with. As you crawl into your pajamas, your happy heart is grateful for the places and people you’ve seen this lazy Sunday.
You’re relieved to have spent the day not having to think about where to park or how to avoid traffic.
You could be anyone - a cash-strapped teen, a middle-aged tree-hugging CEO, a widower on fixed pension - and this journey would be possible. What a dream!
This dream would be possible with the new North Shore B-Line, connecting Dundarave to Phibbs Exchange in a rapid bus service that gets priority road access.
This dream is possible.
Please voice your support by writing to the West Vancouver mayor and council or signing a petition in support of the B-Line
