The whistle-blowers, bell ringers and seven o’clock fun have long gone. Our front-line workers are still dealing with COVID. Thank you, everyone.
Every Sunday lunchtime since March 2020, our neighbourhood of West Fifth Street to West First Street has been blessed with a serenade of trumpet or French horn solos of classical and religious music and carols. A few people applaud.
I would like to thank the “phantom player” on behalf of all my neighbours.
Rain or shine – he/she is always to be counted on for the joy that the music brings to us shut-ins.
