Dear Editor:
On Monday (July 21) I was trimming roses in a friend’s garden in the 2700-block of Lonsdale. I got into a dizzy spell, then I decided to stop. My feet got tangled in the underbrush and I stumbled onto the dried lawn and fell hard onto the packed grass.
A female driver passing by saw me fall and came to my aid, gently turning me onto my back. When she saw the blood on my face she decided to call 9-1-1.
A few moments later a gentleman motorist also stopped to help. He noticed that I was struggling to sit up. He said he would sit on the grass behind me and give me his back to lean on (what a treat).
A few minutes later the fire department’s emergency crew showed up and then the ambulance. They checked me out and let me go home. I’m fine.
Thank you both dearly and sincerely.
