I write regarding your very interesting story Daughter Taken From NV Teen Mother (North Shore News, March 18) about Hanne Andersen's 1983 experience when her baby was taken from her. I didn't know such things happened. How very sad.
I sincerely hope Ms. Andersen joins the class action. She's probably one of the few who have been fortunate enough to have connected with her child. I would expect some of those young girls became clinically depressed or self-destructive as a result of the experience.
The system involved in such a cruel activity should be legally noted, so as not to have history repeat itself.
