Won’t someone please think of the high-achieving children?
As report cards are doled out to youngsters (and their parents) this week, you’ll perhaps notice less students are making the honour roll in North Vancouver school district.
That’s not because they’re excelling any less at academics, but rather it’s part of a systematic phasing out of the honour roll system as schools adjust to changing curriculum and move from a grading culture to a learning culture.
Do kids have it too cushy? Or is it time for the honour roll to roll away?
