Inquiring Reporter: Port Metro Vancouver

Port Metro Vancouver has had the last word after a test of wills with eagle-supporting protesters on East Esplanade.

Port Metro Vancouver has had the last word after a test of wills with eagle-supporting protesters on East Esplanade. A nest that neighbours say has been used for two or three years was dismantled early Thursday morning before observers in the area got to work. The port has consulted with a biologist and plans to create an alternative nesting site in the area. The tree is in the path of what will be a re-routed Spirit Trail, part of the Low Level Road expansion project, and will now come down. Should PMV have figured out another way to make the Spirit Trail work?
