At least 17 people have died in China following a virus outbreak, and the city at the centre of the outbreak, Wuhan, has been placed in quarantine.
Canada’s health minister has said that the risk of Canadians contracting coronavirus remains low, but, at press time, the World Health Organization was contemplating declaring the coronavirus outbreak a global health emergency.
As health officials contemplate how best to contain the health issue, people flying into Canada from overseas are being asked to self-report any flu-like symptoms.
