If you live in B.C. or have travelled here, you have most likely taken a bus at some point. We’re known for thanking our transit drivers as we pile out of buses.
Earlier this week, we celebrated Transit Driver Appreciation Day, which was adopted following a similar initiative held for the local transit authority in Portland, Oregon, with TransLink choosing to celebrate their drivers annually as well.
It might be second nature for us to thank our drivers, but do we understand why it’s necessary to show our appreciation?
