Injuries not so 'minor'

Dear Editor: I read your Oct. 2 story, Vicious Driver Assault Nets Probation. I am the victim of this assault. I am currently working out of another bus depot in a rehabilitative returnto-work program.

Dear Editor:

I read your Oct. 2 story, Vicious Driver Assault Nets Probation. I am the victim of this assault. I am currently working out of another bus depot in a rehabilitative returnto-work program.

I want to thank you very much for writing such a splendid article. However, you wrote that "The driver was taken to Lions Gate Hospital and released with bruises and minor injuries."

Well, not really minor injuries. I suffered a concussion, fractured ribs and a pneumothorax. In addition, my "bruises" were massive contusions covering me from head to toe along with assorted cuts and abrasions. I have also been diagnosed with chronic post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Other than this, your article was great. Thanks again.
