Dear Editor:
I'd like to express my vehement opposition to an increase in gas or property taxes to subsidize TransLink. We are taxed to the max and cannot afford any more increases. TransLink, like the rest of us, will just have to learn to live within their means. I for one am tapped out.
If they really need more money then let the commuters make up the difference. One dollar more per fare would generate millions. Why are they hellbent on taxing (yet again) the drivers and property owners?
As a long time municipal voter I will be watching closely to see how our elected officials vote on this matter.
