Humour makes for effective sign language

Dear Editor: I wish to thank District of North Vancouver "sign specialist" Cameron Stewart, for his creativity, wit and humour in the design of the signage that dots prominent public areas in the district.

Dear Editor:

I wish to thank District of North Vancouver "sign specialist" Cameron Stewart, for his creativity, wit and humour in the design of the signage that dots prominent public areas in the district.

A recent sign on a popular community dog-walking area reads: See a bag and pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck. It's signed "Rover" and includes a paw print. A sign posted at a Delbrook area garden plot reads: This flower bed is metric. Please - no feet.

How refreshing it is to be invited to participate in responsible community behavior in such engaging fashion. Thank you, Cameron, for your creativity and the pleasure you have so often given me as I go about my business in the district. You deserve credit.
