Mountains on the North Shore received their first dusting of snow this week, with a few centimetres piling up on Tuesday afternoon.
That may not be enough yet to compel local ski area operators to turn the lifts on early, but it’s a nice teaser for those eager for the winter season to arrive.
Based on the long-range forecast, there’s reason for skiers and snowboarders to be encouraged. The Old Farmers’ Almanac is predicting snowy days for southern B.C. in December and mid-January.
