Dear Editor:

Morals and ethics?

I am appalled at what appeared on the front page of the North Shore News Aug. 31: Paroled Killer Goes to Law School and Convicted WVPD Officer to Keep Job.

When we are trying to instill a sense of ethics and moral responsibility into the coming generations, you make front-page news of a convicted murderer and a policeman convicted of assault. Can you tell me why?

The message you are clearly sending is that one can do whatever one wants without sanction. With these stories on the front page, anyone even glancing will see them.

I am disappointed for all the parents trying so hard to raise their children with good ethics. I guess your "journalism" was more important.

Community paper with a sense of responsibility? I don't think so.
