Dear Editor: As a West Vancouver resident affected by the recent security breach in the District of West Vancouver's computer system, I am appalled at the response by the District of West Vancouver leadership in informing those affected by this breach wherein direct debit bank account information was potentially compromised. They say they shut down the server on July 22, but they only informed me nine days later by email.

Nine days. That is outrageous and gross negligence in my opinion. I immediately asked for a response by return email. I am still waiting for the courtesy of a response!
