Dear Editor:
The people of Canada earlier protested to the government to reverse the proposed sale of Potash Canada to an offshore company.
The protest was successful and our government denied the sale.
Once again we have to protest the proposed sale of Nexen, this time to a pseudo "private" company controlled by the Chinese government. Hopefully our government will also recognize the imprudence of this transaction and deny the sale of Nexen.
Our policy must be to deny the sale and hence control of any of our major resources falling into foreign hands. We do not need or want foreign groups moving in on our valuable resources and directing what we can and cannot do with them.
