A recent poll shows North Vancouver and West Vancouver voters favour the Conservative Party.

The federal election is now less than three weeks away and North Shore voters are favouring the Conservatives, according to a recent online poll.

The poll results reflect a larger trend, which has seen the Liberals slip from majority territory to a toss-up for who will lead the country.

North Shore News polled 1,094 North Shore News readers and asked the question: If the federal election were held today, which party would you vote for?

The poll ran from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31. Of the 1,094 votes, we can determine that 288 are from within the North Shore community. The full results are as follows:

The Liberal Party of Canada 29.52 % total, 33.33 % local
The Conservative Party of Canada 41.13 % total, 38.89 % local
