As the old adage goes, there are two things certain in life: death and taxes.
North Vancouver city residents will feel the property tax pinch slightly more than their district counterparts, with this year’s fees increasing by 3.9 per cent and 2.5 per cent respectively for the two municipalities.
In the city, part of the taxes will fund a replacement Harry Jerome Recreation Centre. Meanwhile, the district’s main focus is to invest tax dollars into transportation projects.
So the question is: Are your property taxes being spent to your satisfaction?
