Like other readers, I read my own comments quoted in your March 13 story, Council Embraces Ideas for Revitalizing Ambleside, with concern.
While I strongly believe that we can make Ambleside a more vibrant community hub, I also recognize the heritage, variety and value of the current businesses there.
In the heat of the lively and passionate discussion that evening, I used insulting terms to describe those businesses.
I want to offer my sincere apologies to the Ambleside merchants who are passionate about their businesses and whom I realize I have offended.
