Do you live in the district? Yes

For how long have you lived in the district? 37 years

Incumbent: Years on council? 4 years on Council

What are your priorities if elected? Slow the pace of development. Relieve traffic congestion through transportation improvements. Affordable and rental housing (“affordable” meaning within the means of local workforce).

How would you address the district’s transportation needs? We need rapid transit to the North Shore to permit sustainable development. Although fiscally challenging, this is a multi-generational investment involving senior government and all Local Governments. In the interim, we need to complete Hwy. #1 upgrades, and implement all available transit upgrades. I support direct District investment in transit.

Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? North Vancouver is one community. We will be stronger together. I will continue to speak out in favour of re-unification.

Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? Not as planned: too large, wrong housing mix, insufficient transportation, and too much encroachment on green space. A smaller proposal with better transit planning, perhaps.
