Do you live in the city? Yes
For how long have you lived in the city? 2 years
What are your priorities if elected?
- Daycare centers and senior housing
- Affordable housing choice
- Work with Translink and all levels of government to reduce traffic congestion
Is the city managing growth appropriately? Yes. In fact, our city has the slowest growth in the province, with 0% population growth in 2017-2018, we are not providing enough affordable housing to attract people to move to North Vancouver. This is putting pressure on local businesses looking for employees and contributing to congestion.
Are you open to amalgamating with the District of North Vancouver? There are issues on which we should cooperate closely; however, the city is doing well independently and is financially sound.
Should the city facilitate affordable housing and if so, how? Absolutely. The city has an affordable housing reserve fund. We should continue to work with the development sector, the provincial government and non-profits.
