What are your priorities if elected? My priorities include expanding our transit and transportation systems, building diverse, affordable housing options near transit routes, and creating new childcare facilities.

Is the city managing growth appropriately? Yes and no. The INSTTP report illustrated a misalignment between jobs and residential growth; people are commuting daily to the North Shore, causing major “pinch-points” on our road networks at rush hour. Smart growth includes incentives to target housing for our commuting workforce, to keep them working and living here.

Are you open to amalgamating with the District of North Vancouver? Amalgamation would advantage the District, “rescuing” their budgetary predicaments at the expense of the City’s surplus, and would not bring better services to City residents.

Should the city facilitate affordable housing and if so, how? The City should facilitate a diverse mix of housing options around transit corridors to accommodate our commuting workers, which in turn will help reduce traffic.
