What are your priorities if elected? To reflect long time residents wishes that development be more balanced and cautious. I'm committed to playing catch up, which our hospital and buses need.
Is the city managing growth appropriately? Heavens no. The changes that have enveloped our city over the last 8 years have not happened for city planning reasons. Maybe now that corporate donations are banned we can start looking at growth objectively, and the City can start getting some real affordable housing for zoning amendments.
Are you open to amalgamating with the District of North Vancouver? No, look at the City's state of finances vs. the District's. A District mayoral candidate is peddling this narrative in an election year, how convenient.
Should the city facilitate affordable housing and if so, how? Absolutely, we find ourselves in a position where white collar workers are looking for subsidized rent. Co-op housing, Purpose Built Rentals are the way forward.
