What are your priorities if elected? Manage development more slowly & thoughtfully. Cooperate with District on traffic, road closures & lights to ease east-west congestion. Advocate for better transit & infrastructure.
Is the city managing growth appropriately? The City has focused on facilitating development without regard for the impact of growth on transportation, infrastructure and liveability of the community. Giving away density for luxury towers enriches developers, not our community. This has driven out lower income residents and diminished quality of life. We can do much better.
Are you open to amalgamating with the District of North Vancouver? We need more information about costs & benefits to decide what’s in our best interest. Until then, let’s find cost savings through better cooperation.
Should the city facilitate affordable housing and if so, how? Absolutely. It can provide land & permitting by working with BC Housing and non-profit organizations to find long-term, sustainable solutions for our great community.
