What is the single biggest challenge facing the school district and how will you achieve a solution? Meeting the needs of a diverse student population is the biggest challenge. We must ensure adequate support for students with various learning styles, of differing backgrounds, and those dealing with mental health issues. I will prioritize these needs and advocate for sufficient funding to meet this challenge.
What are your thoughts on the province’s new curriculum? Curriculum change is positive and necessary to address challenges students will face in the future. Meaningful dialogue among those affected by curriculum change is essential.
Why do we need a school board when so much is dictated by the province? The board provides direction based on our community’s diverse needs, beliefs, and values. It speaks for the community and advocates for adequate provincial funding.
